- What is a RFP's?
A RFP's is a Request For Proposal. Someone who wants to buy something can
Post a RFP's and then people that have that service to sell will then bid
on the RFP's. The poster can then choose as many or as few of the bidders
as he likes to work with.
- When you post a RFP's, is there a commitment?
Nope. Feel free to work with as many or as few (even none) of the
bidders if you are unhappy with their bids.
- What is the purpose of MediaRFP's?
MediaRFP's was created to provide a networking tool for the online
advertising industry. There are plenty of transactional platforms and
affiliate networks so we figured we would create the first open air
marketplace, an advertising bazaar or flea market of sorts but without
the musty smell of sawdust. Here, our users can post RFP's and use them
as a tool for interacting and creating new relationships; hopefully
leading to business.
- What features does MediaRFP's have?
It is a very simple site. Advertisers can post RFP's for Publishers and
Advertisers & Publishers can post RFP's for Service Providers. Parties
can communicate via a private message system. There is also a service
provider directory where everyone can check out the various service
providers on the site. Beyond that there are no fancy features. The goal
here is to be as simple and efficient as possible so as to maximize
everyones time on the site.
- Why should I join MediaRFP's?
A better question is, Why Not? There is no downside. Advertisers are
FREE and Publishers & Service Providers get a free trial and then can
subscribe for just $99/month. There is no risk to join for anyone - only
business to be done once on the platform.
- Do you offer escrow services?
Nope. MediaRFP's is not a transactional platform. There is no way to
officially close and traffic a deal through our site. If both parties
agree, then they should agree to a contract off the site and transact
the deal off the site. MediaRFP's is just a tool for making the
connections, not closing the deals.
- Why can't I close a transaction on the site?
We feel there are enough platforms out there that allow you to close
deals on their sites. We decided we don't want to take any commission
and instead offer our site as a networking tool for creating new
relationships and deals. However, we leave it to you, our users to do
your own business once a deal has been agreed upon.
- Do you do credit checks on parties on the system?
No, we don't. We simply serve as the marketplace the same way the flea
market leases space to vendors, we lease space to our users but are not
responsible for their actions on the site.
- If someone is dishonest, what should I do?
Report any dishonesty. MediaRFP's is only as strong as its weakest link.
If there is an issue, we will solve it. We will not tolerate dishonesty
and it will be cause to revoke membership.
- What if I want to join the site and don't want to pay for membership?
Well if you are an advertiser, it is free, so don't worry. If you are a
publisher or service provider, you can try petitioning one of the
founders but unless you are a member of the press or an Uncle, don't
expect any free lunch - otherwise how could we afford to create this
site and keep it running? However, if you really want to be on the site
and cannot afford it, limited financial aid is available.
